I finally completed week 4 of my Couch-to-5K Training Plan. Saturday was super hot, and the track was almost empty but I am happy I went out and did it:
Brisk five-minute warmup walk, then:
- Jog 1/4 mile (or 3 minutes)
- Walk 1/8 mile (or 90 seconds)
- Jog 1/2 mile (or 5 minutes)
- Walk 1/4 mile (or 2-1/2 minutes)
- Jog 1/4 mile (or 3 minutes)
- Walk 1/8 mile (or 90 seconds)
- Jog 1/2 mile (or 5 minutes)
Next week I hope not to be too lazy and do week 5 which includes a 20-min run with no walking!
Hmmm….my couch to 5K program says that week 5 has 15 min of running (5minx3 with 3 minute walks between them). I thought they were all the same…
Yes, week 5 is 5 minutes of running (x3) with 3 minute walks between them. This is what I did today. The post was about week 4. We follow the same program I believe.
I guess, I got confused by your last sentence, in which you say that next week you’ll bee doing “week 5 which includes a 20-min run with no walking” 🙂
Oh sorry, it must be really confusing. I’ve just checked out your blog! Wow you progress is amazing! Mine is not that much. I lose weight, but once I have a slight violation to eating right (a candy bar or something) it is all back in one day.
Thanks! I haven’t actually lost as much as I hoped but this is the longes I’ve been able to stick to a diet, so I am pretty pleased.
By the way, you have a very Russian/Eastern European sounding name. Is you family from there?
I haven’t been on a diet really, I was fasting for Lent and avoiding certain things but no diet as it is.
Yes, I am Russian, born and raised in Moscow. I moved to the States 2 years ago.

It sure is! I moved to LA last September. Lived in the SF Bay Area for a year and in New Jersey for four years before that.
